GM Performance DivisionThe 2010 Camaro SS gets the coveted GM Performance Division badge under the hood, signifying that it was engineered and developed by an elite group of power-hungry speed demons in Warren, Michigan. The Camaro SS, however, will be the swan song for GMPD--the same people who rebuilt Project X--as the ber-division was officially disbanded in February, right after Detroit's execs were hauled in front of congress for their bailout hearings. Those who buy a 2010 Camaro SS will be getting a small piece of history right under the hood, attached to the radiator core support. These plaques will be collector's items sooner than we'd like. Trunk LockThere is no exterior lock cylinder for the trunk, not even hidden under the Chevy Bowtie emblem, so don't accidentally run your battery down. Your keyfob is the only way to enter the trunk from the outside. If you do run your battery down, you'll need to unlock the door manually, crawl in the back seat, flip down the seat back, reach into the trunk, and pull the emergency trunk release ripcord. You know, the glow-in-the-dark thing your kid gets to use when he misbehaves and you gotta stuff him in the trunk. Attachments:

My hometown in Idaho had it's annual Demolition Derby last weekend. They have come up with a great way to keep your car running cooler John.... www.owyhee.com/DerbySlide2010/

Just throwin' it out here; although we have never been there, King Putt looks like it would be fun for a couple of hours of something to do while the weather is so hot. From what I have seen on their website www.kingputtlv.com/ you can book private parties in 2 hour time slots. We could even set it up as a fundraiser if we want: whereas they will give half of our admission price to the organization of our choice. I know the March of Dimes director here, but I suppose we could decide on any charity we agree on. We could also have prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and high score. There are two locations, so we should be able to find a slot that would accommodate our needs. We may even be able to bring our own food in. Attachments:

Wow, that is weird! I got the same picture of the fish finder and poles?!? There is definitely a glitch in here. Also, is it just me or have many of the older photos, such as the posts in the member vehicles section disappeared or just show the X frame?

We had a somewhat exciting Jeep fire before the show and got to see the Clark County Fire Department in action. The last pic is actually a video of the fireworks in Quicktime format. Not sure how Picasa handles that. The video is cool and the audio is not exactly G rated in some spots. picasaweb.google.com/110592413129527003400/July42010#Attachments:
