There's a song that's been running through my head since I first heard it. It struck a chord deep within me. It is by Amy Grant. I've provided a link here for you. www.lyricsbay.com/better_than_a_hallelujah_lyrics-amy_grant.html
"....we pour out our miseries, God just hears a melody, beautiful the mess we are, the honest cries of breaking hearts, are better than a hallelujah. Better than a church bell ringing, better than a choir singing out, singing out...."
I believe it's the honesty....it's the reaching out that we seem to do so little of in this competitive world where ego seems to rein supreme. We lose the simplicity of "just being" or as I often say, "living out loud." We are called to love one another just as God first loved us....and we are called to build one another up. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. (Romans 12:10), and we are called to unity ... in the deepest cries of Jesus' heart as He poured out His prayer to the Father of the great desire to know, be known and be one... I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: 23 I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. (John 17:22-23)
And so today, honestly, I say to you...let's come together in love and unity as we lift one another up.
May your day be blessed today as you "live it out loud."
"I want you to realize what a rich and glorious inheritance God has given his people." Ephesians 1:18
