If you find you need a pick-me-up, join the Attitude of Gratitude blog below. Here's a sample. What a beautiful day! Let your light shine brightly within it! What a great day to count blessings! In so doing, allow the gratitude to build from within and well up in you as a beautiful fountain spilling forth upon all you come in contact with. You can’t help but overflow. Think of one thing you could do today to beautify your spirit. Be creative….. be kind in a way no one expected to another. Be beautiful inside, in your hearts, with the lasting charm of a gentle and quiet spirit that is so precious to God. 1 Peter 3:4 That inward beauty will show – you’ll have a whole new glow about you….. ALERT: We are starting to plan now for the 2014 National Corvette Caravan to the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. It will take place the first week in September. As far as I figure it's about 1376 days until the Caravan. I just submitted my application to become a Caravan Captain. Wish me luck. There are 20 captains nationwide so far, but none from Nevada. Henderson has always done a great job for us as has the super shop at Fairway. Know nothing about Findley except they lied about the new 'vettes they had and said they were the new carbon fiber and they weren't to me and 3 others.

It's just ten days until the Newport Beach Run. I am looking forward to the cooler temps and the nice ocean scenery. Not as pretty as Las Vegas, but it will do lol. As time gets closer I will repost our meeting times for our departure from Vegas. Sunday Oct 3rd we will just meet for a small run and lunch, since we will be doing Newport the following week. We will meet AP's at 10 a.m for a short cruise over to the Race Track Iron Skillet for lunch. For those of you that have done that run before you know they have great food there. Our radio frequency will be channel 2.0 and 3.0. Ok on Oct 9th we will be doing the car show in Huntington Beach. Attached is a youtube video of that car show. From what they say in the video it gets pretty busy there. We will leave from Huntington Beach and Head to Long Beach after the Show for the Aquarium there. We had a nice run on Sunday.
We welcomed Scott and Lucy from Arizona and Mr. Doss was able to join us from Utah. On our way toward Pahrump, Scott stretched his legs in his beautiful yellow vette. Boy does that car run.
We pulled in to Spring Mountain where we got to see our friends John and Michelle from San Diego. John is first in the standings for their series!!!! Congratulations!!! It's always good to see you guys.
From there we headed to Terrible's for lunch. After a brief gliche in the parking lot where a slip ended in a broken foot for Debby, we enjoyed great food and service.
Look forward to seeing you all on our next run.

Here are some alternatives if you can't get into The Island Hotel on Newport Center Drive. The Marriott (advance reservations $151/night). Here is the link: www.marriott.com/reservation/rateListMenu.mi That is actually the only one very close, however, there is one right on the beach that is a Best Western. I did check and there are still openings for that weekend. ;D

It really is a terrific restaurant with service similar to that of any 5 start restaurant at an Applebees-type price.

Besides the fact that you have an amazing car, thanks for your friendship. John said he'd spoken to you and we did have an amazing day.
Thanks again for your understanding and wonderful friendship.
